কিন্তু প্রকৃত নেটওয়ার্কিং শুরু হয় তখনই, যখন আপনি বুঝতে পারেন কীভাবে একটি নেটওয়ার্ককে সঠিকভাবে সাজাতে এবং নিরাপদ রাখতে হয়।
ধরুন একটি অফিসে HR, Accounts এবং IT একই ফিজিক্যাল নেটওয়ার্ক ব্যবহার করছে। যদি সঠিকভাবে আলাদা করা না হয়, তাহলে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্য সহজেই অন্যদের কাছে পৌঁছে যেতে পারে এবং পুরো নেটওয়ার্ক পরিচালনা করাও কঠিন হয়ে পড়ে।
এখানেই VLAN-এর গুরুত্ব।
VLAN একটি ফিজিক্যাল নেটওয়ার্কের মধ্যেই একাধিক লজিক্যাল নেটওয়ার্ক তৈরি করতে সাহায্য করে, যাতে প্রতিটি বিভাগ নিজস্ব নিরাপদ পরিবেশে কাজ করতে পারে।
এটি শুধু বইয়ের বিষয় নয় — বাস্তব IT support ও networking job-এ প্রতিদিন ব্যবহার করা হয়।
আপনি যদি VLAN, trunking এবং port security ভালোভাবে বুঝতে পারেন, তাহলে আপনি ইতোমধ্যেই অনেক নতুন শিক্ষার্থীর চেয়ে এগিয়ে আছেন।
শুধু পড়লেই হবে না, নিয়মিত practice করতে হবে। Packet Tracer বা lab environment-এ কাজ করে বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতা নিতে হবে।
