Allen has become one of the defining voices in Shanghai’s modern cocktail movement, shaping Asian Flush around a dialogue between Fujian heritage, Peranakan influences and East meets West drinking culture. His ingredient driven approach often works through sake, miso, koji and layered Asian pantry flavours, building cocktails with texture, umami and precision.

At Asian Flush, cocktails are approached as cultural storytelling, where memory, migration and place are translated into the glass. Alongside co founder Amily, Allen has built a bar where hospitality and heritage sit side by side, balancing low ABV exploration with spirit forward classics through a distinctly modern Asian lens.
