A bespoke Wine Bar, Tinto brings back the welcoming romance of old world wines in an era where speakeasies are commonly mushrooming all over Kuala Lumpur. Tinto, which is the Spanish word for ‘Red Wine’ instantly resonates what the Wine Bar is all about – Spanish Tinto. Sitting on the first floor of a bustling Desa Sri Hartamas shoplot, Tinto is set in an unassuming and unpretentious cosy ambience that allow its patrons to savour their wines. Instead of impressing with their décor, Tinto allows their wines to do all the talking. In fact, instead of fancy furniture, the tables at Tinto are made of repurposed wine crates, a reminder of the bar’s focus. Tinto’s main attraction is the old world wines, all kept in their walk-in, temperature controlled cellar. This Tapas Wine Bar carries a wide array of old world wines mainly from Spain and France that can be enjoyed both by a wine connoisseur as well as any budding wine enthusiast. To complement the wines and as a homage to the Spanish Wine experience, Tinto also provides a selection of Spanish inspired Tapas. From the ever-simple jamons (dry-cured Spanish ham) and cheeses, imported from Spain, to the Malaysian crowd-pleaser, the Gambas Pil Pil (prawns sautéed in garlic, chilli and paprika), Tinto provides a burst of bold flavours that goes well with the wine journey.
