We were so delighted to be able to have everyone countdown 2022 without restrictions. No masks, zero policies, the Atas countdown experience could not have been more of a bash!

Gathered together between kindred and new friends, there was the same consanguinity shared year to year from our very first countdown together five year since. We look forward to hosting more of everyone at our celebrations as early reservations are highly encouraged. To those who we couldn't accommodate due to our limited seating, we hope to see you soon!

It’s fair to say she’s done more for the Asian bar scene than pretty much anyone. Holly has embarked on a global tour these last few months and she's finally coming (back!) to Malaysia, beginning with a workshop and bar shift at JungleBird this coming Sunday 16th October followed by appearances at Atas Speakeasy, Ipoh and Backdoor Bodega, Penang on the 18th and 20th.

‘Cocktails of Asia’ will be available for purchase and signing at all of her stops in Malaysia or if you already have a copy, swing by to meet the author and get that cheeky signature!

With our country's borders now open and travel inbound is all green without the need for quarantine, Atas is proud to present our first international guest shift by Black Tears Rum Ambassador Mr Din Hassan.
Join us this Saturday and celebrate the weekend with behind bar.

Din Hassan
A veteran from Singapore's then budding nightlife industry, Din's experience
behind the bar has been one of the most fulfilling and rewarding in our time.
Rising through the ranks by starting off as a barback (replenisher of bar
inventory and equipment, bar cleaner after operating hours, basically covering
all back end work), Din gradually rose through the ranks and became a full-
fledged bartender and currently he is now working at The Island Rum Company
as their Brand Ambassador.
Beginning his career in Holiday Inn Park View Hotel as a wait staff in 1989,
Din transferred to Holiday Inn Crown Plaza in 1992, first as a barback, then as
a bartender.
He moved on to the popular Escobar as a bartender and was headhunted to
join one of Singapore’s most popular nightclubs, Da Jie in Muhammad Sultan,
in the 90s as their bar supervisor.
Three years later in 2003, he opened Cocco Latte as Bar Operations Manager
and it maintained its popularity as one of Singapore’s most visited nightspots
until Din went to assist in the opening of Oyster Bar (2005) where he was first
officially appointed Operations and Training Manager, even though Din had
been training all the newbies that came under his wing.
After close to 10 years of operations in the food and beverage industry, Din
began his next working curve as mixologist in Klee, 2007. Klee is known as
one of the very first cocktail bars that served fresh fruit cocktails and also
making remakes of classic cocktails, delicious tipples drawing guests.
In 2008, work as bar manager at The White Rabbit (awarded best Dining Room by
the Singapore Tourism Board in 2009).
Din's passion for knowledge and mixing perfect drinks, places him amongst
the foremost pioneers of this burgeoning industry.

We have our esteemed guests and patrons to thank every time an event is organised at Atas. With your understanding and patience in regards to the heavy list of SOPs involved, our get togethers are nothing but fun and exciting, seen in our recent shift by guest bartender Mr Danny Winter.

Danny () brought with him three of his favourite tipples with as the main spirit in mind. They were clearly the rage as all three cocktails were sold out before the end of the night. We apologise if some reservations were turned down due to limited seating as per government protocols, and urge you to secure your bookings with us early. Our next guest shift will be announced soon, so follow us if you haven't already for more updates.

A one night only takeover with a chance for guests to get intimate with our visiting bartender Mr. Danny Winter. Meet Danny behind the bar this Saturday to sneak in an autograph or a custom cocktail but do book early as seats are running out already!

[Danny Winter]
started his career in London working at the famous LAB. It was at this time when he competed for the UK in the 2010 42Below Cocktail World Cup. After a stint in New Zealand, he came to Malaysia in 2012 and was part of the opening team for the legendary Tate bar, Malaysia’s first speak easy. He then founded Ril’s bar in Bangsar. After leaving Malaysia to lead the bar at Mahiki in Dubai, Danny returned, and most notably opened Concubine KL in China Town before taking up his role as Trade Ambassador for Bacardi.

BAC to November when we had the team at .kl take over our venue to introduce the art of cocktail and food pairing to the people of our city. Five highballs by that were made to compliment each meticulously prepared plate that was served by chef .

Good news is they have recently opened the doors to their spanking new location in Kuala Lumpur, so if you are ever visiting the big city, do not hesitate to reserve a table as they bring you BAC to the good old days!

Sip&Sketch has been a big part of our monthly programme since the beginning, being run by professionals in their own field, the aim is to pick up a new skill in a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. However, with strict social distancing rules due to the pandemic, the fun and learning had to come to a halt. Here are some photos of our last instalment right before the major lockdowns.

The great news is Sip&Sketch is back this month and since classes have always been limited to only six seats, it is finally safe to get those creative juices back on flow whilst sipping on a couple glasses of wine. We will be revealing details to our upcoming series soon so join us and pick up an entirely new skill this month!

For many who have visited Atas' new location, you would have noticed that the recently renovated venue has a full service bar that has been constructed to provide a 360° view of everything that goes into making the perfect tipple. And with this new space, Atas has had the privilege in organising a one-of-a-kind conceptual dining by collaborating with the uber talented people at Tamu Dining. This fortnightly event brings the country's most respected chefs to host an intimate dining experience in our cozy and luxurious space.

"Transparency is the key element behind our open kitchen concept where guests get a chance at witnessing their courses being meticulously prepared and assembled, while bespoke cocktails are being shaken and strained." "Feel mesmerised as both chef and bartender provide guests with the opportunity to embrace the organised chaos of flames and steam, with ice and tin." -

Here are some photos from our previous installments and with dining sessions reopening for the 15th September, contact us for more details and book your seat to an experience you will not forget!
