The Wall is a studio and space for local DIY arts community based in Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia. Greetings Citizens of the Earth.

We help putting up shows (gig, release party, zine/book review-discussion, film screening, DIY workshop, distros consigmnent, book press distribution etc..) and being a centre for people of the new generation to get the real experience of how a punk/hardcore scene should be. The Wall is located near to the centre of Batu Pahat town; provided surrounding necessities within achievable such bus station (10 minutes walking distance), local food, booze spree, price-reasonable hotels etc.. Our mid size category venue can accommodate maximum of 170pax per shows and we provide average audio equipment as follows :

2 sets of microphone (inclusive 4 channel mixers and 2sets hall speakers)
2 sets of guitar amplifier (Randall 120RH-120watts, Ibanez 100watts)
1 set of bass amp (Hartke HA2500-250watts)
1 set of traditional drum kit (Sonor Smart-Force Series)

Deposits : RM150 (refundable subject to cancellation)

Booking Hours : 2pm to 11pm (9 hours)
Venue Fees : RM450Min
Deposits : RM200 (refundable subject to cancellation)
Max band(s) : 10

Booking Condition :

We strongly decline Homophobia, Sexism, Racism, Fascism elements! Date for booking is subjected to 'first come first serve' basis. Booking must be done 4 weeks before selected/confirmed date. Submit all band list together with deposit fees. Please keep communication focal point/person to contact updates CLOSELY. We are strogly urge all organizers to take responsability of band(s)/show time punctuality. Extra :

We also encourage for those who manage DIY distro/merc to bring their DIY stuff freely for sale/trade in our venue with no extra charges/fees after show entrance fees. Focal/Contact :

After months of no show in this sleepy town, we're having one before rest again for Ramadhan month.

With all the bands delivering almost similar genre, be prepared to let your sweat off on the day.

Gotta check out all this cool bands on the bill. MELT is a newly foundered 80's HC band from JB, featured former members of KKC and Dickies Tale. PERSETAN has made it few times at The Wall and also featured members of other bands such as Kenapa Tidak and Check Your Head. DUBISTDUM is a new band from Melaka taking inspire from KBD punks, consist member from Bombshell. BAD IDEA is Batu Pahat homeboys hardcore bands that gettin lazier nowadays but still exist, enough to be true to themselves. And last one is a touring band from Georgia, LOWER MINDS, a furious hardcore band that are sure to stomp the night.

Plus, we're gonna treat all who came for the show with free foods. Most probably mee hoon goreng la, for all friends, just to celebrate and having good times together. So, please spread around and invite yr friends to the show!
