UPDATE

Dear guests and neighbors near and far,
The Swedes will remain closed today. Most of our team lives far away and as of now, public transport is not allowed.

The city is calm, folks are walking their dogs, patronizing the grocery stores that are open and generally cleaning and preparing to get back to “normal” asap.

We are working to re-open tomorrow to serve you; however, the menu will be modified and somewhat limited because of the demand for supplies around the city. Rest assured we will have plenty of wine and food but just not our full regular menu.

An additional note: Vallarta is still beautiful, Vallarta is still strong, Vallarta still looks forward to welcoming you! This was not much different from a riot in the US or other civil unrest. Humans were not targeted; they were meticulously moved out of harm's way.

The international news will show you the worst images from yesterday, as well as tons of AI imagery that was meant to perpetuate the chaotic messaging, not the neighborly rebuilding and support and love that we have in the city today. The neighborly love and hospitality that Puerto Vallarta is known for continues, and we hope and pray you will not be deterred from visiting our paradise.

Out of an abundance of caution due to the uncertainty happening in Puerto Vallarta today, we have made the decision to close for the day to ensure the safety of our team and our guests.

If you had a reservation, we have reached out via OpenTable to reschedule. Pending guidance from city authorities. We do plan to reopen tomorrow. 🤗🌈
