🌟 URGENT CALL TO ACTION: HELP US SAVE LA RANA CANSADA & BAR RANITA 🌟

To all our friends, family, and the incredible community of Playa del Carmen:

We need your help, and we need it now. If you’ve ever been a part of our beloved Hotel La Rana Cansada and Bar Ranita, you know how special this place is. It’s not just a bar or a hotel—it’s a home away from home, a cornerstone of the Playa community, and a space that has brought so many of us together. For many, it’s where lifelong friendships were made, and memories created. 💚🐸

WHAT HAPPENED?

Last Friday, November 15, a group of 3 individuals accompanied by 3 municipal police officers entered our property. They claimed, without showing any legal documentation or court order, that the property had been taken over by new owners. They demanded we vacate immediately, broke our locks, and replaced them with their own—all with the support of the police. This happened without any due process, transparency, or even a single piece of paper explaining this supposed takeover.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

We believe that the only way to reclaim La Rana Cansada and Bar Ranita is through the power of community and direct social pressure. We are organizing a MASSIVE DEMONSTRATION to demand justice and accountability.

Hola, el pasado viernes 15 de noviembre se presentaron en las instalaciones de nuestro “Hotel la Rana Cansada” 3 personas acompañas a las que se les llamaba “actuario” juntos con 3 elementos de la policía municipal, argumentando que bajo una orden judicial indica que ahora la propiedad pertenecía a unos supuestos “nuevos dueños”,

Exigiéndonos sacar todas nuestras pertenencias para que los “nuevos dueños” del lugar entraran a ocupar su supuesta “nueva propiedad”. Sin otorgarnos más información, ni siquiera una hoja/acta de nada, procedieron a romper candados del “Hotel La Rana Cansada”, e instalar sus propios candados, asegurando la propiedad. Con el respaldo de la policía.

Creemos que una de las únicas formas de hacer justicia para La Rana cansada y Bar Ranita es meter presión social directa mediante una MANIFESTACIÓN MASIVA, el día MARTES 19 de noviembre a las 3 PM.

Nos reuniremos con pancartas, cartulinas exigiendo justicia hasta llegar al municipio.

La idea es juntar la mayor gente posible y poder lograr JUSTICIA.

Porfavor ayúdanos a difundir este msj a todos sus grupos, es súper importante reunir muchísima gente, la más que se pueda, los viejos de playa, los nuevos, todos.

Hello, last Friday, November 15, 3 people accompanied by the so-called “actuary” showed up at the facilities of our “Hotel la Rana Cansada” together with 3 municipal police officers, arguing that under a court order the property now belonged to supposed “new owners.”

With the support of the police.

We believe that one of the only ways to do justice for La Rana Cansada and Bar Ranita is to apply direct social pressure through a MASSIVE DEMONSTRATION, on TUESDAY, November 19 at 3 PM.

We will meet with banners and posters demanding justice until we reach the municipality.

The idea is to gather as many people as possible and achieve JUSTICE.
