Dear friends: Please take note that we have moved and we have also changed our name. We are now called Los Barriles Wine and Tequila. We are located in the Hotel Palmas De Cortez with a much larger store and tasting room and carrying a much larger selection for your pleasure and convenience. We also have a new crew led by Carolina Escamilla. Carolina is from Guadalajara and completed her L1 wine certificate with WSET in Vancouver this past summer. OMG the wine I had last night was absolutely divine. I want to be careful what I say in this politically correct world but I’m going to go out on a limb here. I tried to describe it and the only word I could find that best fit was “feminine.” It was soft, smooth, complex, with a hint of sweetness on the finish. It ages well and was an amazing companion with my dinner last night. 😉 We don’t have this particular wine in the shop but we do have a great selection so come on in and say hola to Carolina Escamilla and if we don’t have what you are looking for we will try and source it for you!

Hi everyone! We haven’t been on this page much lately because we have another page. We created a new page when we changed the name of the store (to reflect the webpage address and what everyone was calling it anyway.) It’s still the exact same store with a great selection of wine from the around the world, tequila and charcuterie boards. Come and visit us at Hotel Palmas De Cortez!

.... what’s not to love !! Come on down to the new shop and say hola!!

We are ready to celebrate our 2nd location of Los Barriles Wine & Tequila (oh ya, we also changed the name from Greenberg & Guzman, Casa de Vino y Licores to reflect the website URL and what everyone was calling it anyway.)

Ilse, our manager has put together an amazing Grand Opening event for you all. Some of your favourite vendors such as Victoria's Sunny Dresses and Joyeria y Accesorios Fridas will be there with special displays. There will be a live dance performance, specialty desserts by Gina Rochin, and we will be offering a free wine tasting.

But, I think one of the main highlights of the evening will be brought to us by Cabo Unico which is a producer of Mexican Tequila, liqueurs and vanilla. They will be guiding you through a free tequila tasting to a world full of flavour, tradition and art, that transports you to the essence of their ancestors in every drop of Tequila, liquors and extracts that they proudly produce. Sound good? (that's not a trick questions, btw 😜)

This is a Grand Opening you will NOT want to miss!
