💙 Meet the Jax Family: Gina 💙
Every restaurant has people who quietly make a difference every single day. Gina has been one of those people at Jax for more than 24 years. She has been with us since the very first week Jax opened its doors, helping shape the warm, welcoming atmosphere that so many of our guests have come to love.
Through thousands of sunsets, countless happy hours, and generations of visitors, Gina has remained a steady, caring presence behind the scenes as our Administrator.
When asked what she loves most about working at Jax, her answer was simple:
"The work environment. It's very relaxed and special."
It's no surprise that her favorite menu item is our fresh Shrimp Ceviche, paired with a refreshing sangria or margarita—a combination as classic as Isla Mujeres itself.
One of Gina's sweetest memories isn't about food or work at all. She smiles when she remembers bringing her young sons to Jax on days they didn't have school, where they would happily sit behind her desk while she worked. Those moments remind us that Jax has always been more than a restaurant—it has been a second home for many of us.
After more than two decades, Gina says she has countless treasured memories. Stories about Mr. Michael, Mrs. Jackie, the entire team, and the everyday moments shared with coworkers have filled her years with laughter and gratitude.
What she enjoys most, though, is hearing guests say:
"This is the best food and drink we've ever had!" and "This place is beautiful!"
She says hearing those words makes it all worthwhile.
Thank you, Gina, for your 24 years of loyalty, kindness, and dedication. Your hard work, your warm heart, and the care you show every day have helped make Jax feel like home to both our staff and our guests.
