When I first came up with the idea for Valle Girl Vino in 2012, I wasn't thinking about owning a winery at all! I was dreaming about creating a place where strangers could become friends over a bottle of wine. Where local musicians have a stage. Where families gather around pizza fresh from the oven. Where travelers discover that the best memories aren't always found at the biggest wineries—they're often found in the smallest ones, where someone remembers your name before your wine order.
Over the years, El Corcho Rosa has become much more than just a business. It has become a gathering place for our little community.
Every weekend, our gates open to wine lovers, first-timers, old-timers, musicians, neighbors, local suppliers, campers, dog lovers, old friends, first dates, anniversary celebrations, and curious travelers who simply wandered down a dusty road and followed the pink signs to see what they might find.
That kind of place doesn't happen by accident.
It exists because an entire network of people pours their hearts into it. The vineyards, the small businesses that provide our corks, bottles, labels, and supplies. The musicians who transform an ordinary afternoon into something unforgettable. The kitchen crew, our Team Pink, and every smiling face that helps create the warmth our guests feel.
Around the world, small wineries are under tremendous pressure. Rising costs, changing drink habits, and economic uncertainty have made it harder than ever for independent wineries to survive. Here in the Guadalupe Valley, we're feeling those same winds. But this campaign isn't just about helping Valle Girl Vino weather a difficult season. It's about protecting something increasingly rare. A place that still feels authentic. Where live music is part of the afternoon instead of background noise. A place where local wines are poured by the people who made them. A place where "walk-ins welcome" isn't just a sign—it's a philosophy. For nearly fifteen years, I've welcomed people from every walk of life to pull up a chair, pour a glass, and feel at home.
So if you've ever spent an afternoon laughing with friends under our roof, danced to a band on a Saturday, discovered a new favorite wine, cuddled one of our pups, shared a charcuterie board, or simply found a little peace here, then you've helped create what makes this place special.
Now I'm asking for your help in return.
Not because I believe one business deserves to be saved. But because I believe communities deserve gathering places. A place where the next generation of winemakers, musicians, artists, and entrepreneurs can see that there's still room in this world for independently owned dreams.
Every contribution helps.
Every share matters.
Every person who believes in this little corner of Baja California becomes part of its future.
We're not just trying to keep our doors open. We're trying to keep a piece of the Valle alive.
From my heart, thank you for believing that places like this are still worth fighting for.
With love and gratitude,
Sitara
