It’s Friday and it means one thing its
Fish and chip friday

The Friday Tradition

Why Fish? Historically, Catholics were required to abstain from eating warm-blooded "meat" (from land animals) on all Fridays as a form of penance. Fish, being cold-blooded, was the perfect alternative

The British Influence: This religious custom, combined with the rise of the trawler fishing industry in 19th-century Britain, gave birth to the quintessential "chippy”
