La Stella Band delivered an unforgettable night under the dynamic baton of Mro John Galea, joined by the energetic and joyful participation of Teatru Astra’s Piccole Stelle Choir, ably led by Ms Sylvana Attard.

Fronted by Malta’s powerhouse vocal line-up: Mark Tonna, Denise, Ludwig Galea, Karin Duff, and Kristy Spiteri - the performance truly brought the house down. ♥️

Today we salute the life and legacy of Mr Dolindo Cassar (16 April 1943 – 1 May 2026), esteemed ex-president of the Socjetà Filarmonika La Stella and Teatru Astra, whose unwavering dedication and love for culture left an indelible mark on Gozo’s artistic and social heritage.

Mr Cassar served La Stella and Teatru Astra with exceptional commitment, guiding both institutions with integrity and an enduring passion for the enrichment of the community. His contribution to the cultural life of Victoria and Gozo as a whole will be remembered with profound gratitude and admiration.

On this day, as family, friends, members, and the wider community gather to bid farewell, the Banda Ċittadina La Stella shall participate in the funeral cortege at 4.45pm from Republic Street, preceding the funeral Mass which will be celebrated at St George’s Basilica at 5.30pm.

Teatru Astra and Socjetà Filarmonika La Stella mourn the loss of a leader, whose steadfast devotion and exemplary service will remain an inspiration for generations to come.♥️
