Born and raised in Poland Emilia Figiel now resides in Malta with her young daughter. An alternative theatre and performance artist, she makes her big-screen debut in Żafżifa, playing a role that mirrors her own journey as an independent mother. Her role is rooted in authenticity and the lived experiences that director Peter Sant draws from Malta’s real communities.
