- Rudolph Grima, sid Tat-Tarag Wine Bar
It is with great sadness that we announce the coming to an end of a long and successful trip. Today week will be th last day of operation of our popular wine bar known to you as Tat Tarag. I am very proud to have been one of the first wine bars in Malta which is to date one of the most popular still.
It was just over 14 years ago that an outlet on Saqqajja Hill came up for rent. I decided on the spot that this would be an ideal place for a wine bar and that the location was the best for this kind of outlet. Saqqajja hill was not very well known. Popular with the former Black Cat snack bar patrons which had closed a couple of years prior.
Today I am proud to say that Tat-Tarag has survived through the last 14 and a half years trough hard work not only mine but of the many that worked there. We were always a family and our patrons appreciated this and visited us time and time again.
Most of all I am proud to say that from the successful venture that was Tat-Tarag a location was born which is Saqqajja Hill. Saqqajja Hill is now a culinary location of a few of Malta's finest restaurants. From the time when Tat-Tarag was born to the present day, it has become a location where 5 restaurants operate daily.
It has been a great pleasure to have served my customers for the last 14 years for which I must thank them for their constant loyalty. Last.but not least i must give a heartfelt THANK YOU to all my loyal staff both previous and present but in particular Marceline Huskinson and Nikola Ilic. I wish them a bright future.
I will be ending this chapter in my life with pride and looking forward to starting a new chapter with hope and enthusiasm.
Thank you all for being there for us through thick or thin.
