I finally managed to do my write-up of that Balzan restaurant with THAT steak (with Szechuan peppercorn sauce, grilled scallions, shiitake mushrooms, pancetta and pine nuts). Two chunky pieces for the price of the usual 1.

Honestly, I don't know how I've never been or stumbled across it before until I was taken there few months ago. It reminds me of the kind of restaurants you find in Wimbledon Village or Primrose Hill, London.

It does exactly what a great neighbourhood restaurant should do.
