塔里是印度非常普遍的料理，比較能夠理解的解釋是套餐，就是一人份的完整套餐，裡頭通常包含著主食米飯、薄餅（或Roti）、沙拉、各式各樣的瑪莎拉香料咖哩。每一樣東西都是一人份的份量，全部裝在餐盤上，很像我們孩童時期在學校吃的營養午餐，可能因為如此，在印度享用塔里時總有種懷舊的情感浮上心頭，滋味特別美好。
