"Olga, why do you never write about the farm? Write about the farm!"
Fine. One October, our pigs were officially declared an invasive species. The neighbours were sure they'd eat the olives. I explained that pigs are highly intelligent animals and won't touch bitter olives with so much tastier stuff around. The neighbours were unmoved: limit their freedom. (Not the freezer kind.)
The ladies disagreed. A whole peninsula to roam, and they picked exactly one garden: the neighbour's. Fences flattened, tunnels dug.
I tried to get Funtik, head of the family, to talk sense into his women. He clacked his tusks at me. Bad timing, apparently.
So tell me: do pigs eat olives? 🐷
