Building bridges to new investment opportunities:
AmCham Montenegro was pleased to host a session on U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) financing opportunities for Montenegro’s strategic projects, bringing our members into direct conversation with DFC representatives to learn more about its financial instruments, investment priorities, and potential opportunities in Montenegro and the wider Western Balkans.
The session was opened by Marko Miročević, AmCham Montenegro’s Executive Director, who thanked DFC for its willingness to engage in this discussion and share valuable insights with the Montenegrin business community.
Discussions covered potential projects across energy security, strategic infrastructure, digital connectivity, telecommunications, and regional integration, providing our members with a better understanding of the areas DFC seeks to support and the financing solutions it offers. Following the recently signed U.S. – Montenegro Intergovernmental Agreement, we welcome opportunities to strengthen economic ties and encourage greater U.S. investment in Montenegro. At the same time, it is important to understand that DFC financing is not limited to U.S. companies. Depending on the project and eligibility criteria, financing opportunities may also be available to other companies involved in qualifying projects.
We are grateful to the U.S. Embassy Podgorica for its cooperation in making this event possible, and to DFC for sharing its expertise and engaging directly with our members.
At AmCham, we believe that creating connections, facilitating dialogue, and improving access to information are essential to unlocking new opportunities for investment and private-sector growth. We are proud to serve as a bridge between our members and institutions that can help turn strategic priorities into concrete projects.
