Every place has the things you have to try.

Not because someone told you to, but because somewhere along the way they became part of what makes the place what it is.

At Jungle Kade, ours have become a small collection of plates that keep finding their way back to the table - the kind that get ordered once, then somehow become part of the next visit too.

There’s a certain kind of order in the chaos around here.

Someone’s fixing something, someone’s working with their hands, the kitchen is moving, the bar is shaking and the jungle is doing what it does best: growing wherever it feels like it.

And somehow, through all of that, the food comes out.

The drinks come together.

The fire keeps burning.

It might look a little chaotic from the outside, but there’s a lot of care behind what lands on your table.

We wanted to make a margarita, but it felt a little too well behaved. So we took it into the jungle - mezcal, fermented pineapple, honey, peppercorns and a little chilli.

Simba-Ge came out smoky, sharp and just sweet enough, with a wild streak running through it.

Some drinks follow the rules. This one found its own way. 🌿

Ash builds his around stories.

Something Something Banana wasn’t created to be overly complicated or to impress with fancy techniques. It was created to make you smile from the very first sip.

“It tastes like your childhood... if your childhood had better decisions and a little bit of alcohol.”

That’s how Ash (Founder/ Co-Owner) describes it.

Sweet, smooth and just mischievous enough to remind you of that one friend who always promised “last drink”... and somehow convinced everyone to stay for five more.

Behind every cocktail at Jungle Kade is a little piece of Ash - his humour, his memories and his way of turning ordinary ingredients into something worth talking about.

The coconut palm has long been part of life along Sri Lanka’s southern coast. It offers shade from the afternoon sun, fruit for the table, and the sap that, through time and craft, becomes one of the island’s oldest spirits - arrack.

For gathering around a pot that’s been simmering all morning. For passing plates across the table. For conversations that somehow last longer than expected.

There’ll be biriyani.

THE SWELL IS COMING.

Madiha is slowly finding its rhythm again.

The surfers are making their way back.
The boards are coming out.
The ocean is beginning to speak a little louder.

And like the swell, we’re coming back too.

Not quite in full swing.
Not quite in season.

But close.

The bar is warming up.
The kitchen is finding its rhythm.
The jungle is waking up.

We thought we’d show up a little early.

Get the bottles cold.
Get the ice moving.
Get the music playing.
And get Jungle Kade swinging before the rest of the season arrives.

WE WENT A LITTLE QUIET.

Not because the jungle had nothing to say.

We just went wandering.

A little swinging.
A little exploring.
A little galavanting around the world, collecting stories, flavours, ideas and probably a few things we shouldn’t have.

But every good adventure eventually finds its way home.

And ours brought us back to Madiha.

The bottles are finding their places again.
The ice is getting broken.
The shakers are making noise.
The glasses are waiting to be filled.

The jungle is slowly waking up.

So, before the season comes rushing in and Madiha gets loud again, we thought we’d take a little time to ease back into things.

No big ceremony.
No grand announcement.

Just good drinks, familiar faces, new stories, and a bar waiting for you.
