Finally dropped in to see our good friend Fred (Nini Yuan) at Old Shanghai Bistro - Chinese Food Restaurant Phnom Penh, just a short distance from The Wild Rover.

Fantastic little spot with plenty of character. The noodles and dumplings were excellent, washed down with a cold Tsingtao!

It’s also worth having a look around while you’re there — you’ll find some of Chhan Dina's artwork on display, adding a special Cambodian touch to the place.

If you’re around the Phnom Penh riverside area and fancy some proper Chinese food, give Fred a visit!

Ten families have lost their homes and belongings in a devastating fire and now face the incredibly difficult task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up.

A devastating fire at a popular restaurant in Bali — a reminder of why balloons of any kind have never been allowed inside The Wild Rover.

Balloons can sometimes be filled with flammable gases such as hydrogen (as it's cheaper than helium). If you’re not 100% certain what’s inside a balloon, it simply isn’t worth the risk around candles, ci******es, electrical equipment or any other source of ignition.

Our no-balloon policy is about protecting our customers, staff, neighbours and property. A celebration should never turn into a tragedy.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the fire.

A wonderful evening at Rosewood Phnom Penh celebrating the work of our good friend and incredibly talented Cambodian artist Chhan Dina.

Roots of the Village is a beautiful celebration of Cambodian culture, creativity and rural life — brought to life through Dina’s distinctive paintings and ceramic work.

A huge thank you for the kind invitation, and congratulations to Dina and Warren on putting together such an amazing event. It was a real pleasure to be there and share in the evening.
