It’s with a heavy heart that Hangar 44 announces our permanent closure. After opening at Water Festival time in 2014 we wheeled into the PP nightlife scene with a bang and a braaap and we had a helluva great 6 years (pre-pandemic) being in the heart of Bassac Lane, helping it grow as a like-minded community of bars and people.
But, now with all of the effects caused by the pandemic, the changing landscape near us and an uncompromising landlord we have chosen to hang up our tools, bar aprons and coveralls.
We thank you, the thousands of friends who have supported our bar through thick oil and thin. We have taken great pride and pleasure in hosting as you generated good memories here.
Farewell, adios, smell ya later and Godspeed to you all in your personal journeys.
