A story of Not Suspicious👀
In February 2024, around 3PM, when Not Suspicious was still unknown, two wonderful guests walked into the bar while there wasn’t a single customer inside.
The following week, a reel that Jaki filmed at Not Suspicious went viral on Instagram. It was the first time in my life that something went viral, and I didn’t know what to do. I just kept holding my phone in my hands. I clearly remember watching the views and follower numbers go up, my heart racing, barely sleeping for about three days.
That viral moment helped Not Suspicious recover from the severe damage caused by COVID. Thank you for supporting the history of Not Suspicious.
After that, Jaki and I continued to talk through DMs on Instagram. I wanted to go to Seattle, where Jaki lives, and say thank you in person, so in 2025 I applied for a U.S. travel visa. (Because of my travel history to Cuba, I couldn’t enter the U.S. with the online visa system, but I really wanted to go, so I applied for a paper visa.)
I was planning to go to Seattle in 2026 to meet Jaki. But in February 2026, before I could go to Seattle, Jaki came to Tokyo with friends to visit me 😂❤️ This photo was taken at that time.
Seeing Jaki again made me happier than I can describe. But I still strongly want to go to Seattle myself and say thank you properly, so one of my goals for 2026 is to visit Seattle 🥹✈️
I’m deeply grateful for the big opportunity that the viral moment gave me, and I want to continue growing Not Suspicious without becoming arrogant💪
