A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of supporting BARS & MELODY once again in Japan for their shows. This marks our fourth year collaborating with them. Our journey started after a major label opted out, and we stepped in to ensure everything ran smoothly.

From securing venues and managing online ticket sales to organizing meet & greets and transportation, our team handled all the details, allowing the duo to focus solely on their performances.

Having witnessed BARS & MELODY evolve from young friends on "Britain's Got Talent" to mature adults with families, it has been a rewarding experience. We look forward to the possibility of extending their final world tour to reach more individuals inspired by their music's positive impact.

We also hope to see each member explore solo music ventures in the future. Working with them has been a privilege, and we are excited about what the future holds for this talented duo.

At industry events and conferences, I find that while bands and their direct managers show me great support and appreciation, the majority of men (and some women) tend to ignore me or what I do. Despite not being associated with a major firm or having multi-platinum artists signed under me, I genuinely care about each artist I work with, offering honesty and transparency in all dealings. Artists continue to reach out to me, highlighting the value of authentic connections in an industry where recognition doesn't always align with effort and dedication.

Location of performances: Kichijoji! We will be taking over 3-4 venues in Kichijoji - each venue within 2-5 minute walk from all the others. Lots of coffee shops, eateries, and bars between each venue as well. 公演場所 吉祥寺！吉祥寺の3-4会場を使用します。各会場は他の会場から徒歩2-5分以内です。各会場の間には喫茶店やレストラン、バーがたくさんあります。

最近、素晴らしい新曲をたくさん聴いている！
そんなおいしい音楽がたくさん入ってくるので、そろそろプレイリストを作って、新鮮でおいしい音楽をみんなと共有しようと思う。
YoutubeのプレイリストとSpotifyのプレイリストの両方で利用可能な楽曲を用意し、毎月月初に更新されたプレイリストを共有する予定だ。今のところ、リストに追加された楽曲は永遠にリストに残すつもりだが...6ヶ月の期限に変更するかもしれない。
プレイリストはマルチジャンルになるので、ロック、ネオ・ソウル、シティ・ポップ、グランジと続くかもしれない。出演者は海外から来るかもしれないし、日本を拠点にしているかもしれない！

The gates are finally open! We are restarting activities now and working on bringing some guests from Japan to a very special event this summer. Now with Japan being restriction free for travel, it is easier for the many talented artists, performers, and speakers to visit events and come home trouble-free.

We are working with various studios and agencies to connect events outside Japan with great Japan-based creatives, for both in-person appearances but also for private livestream, ZOOM meet & greet and appearances, and more.

It's almost too hot to work, but working we are! With more countries reestablishing their in-person events, we've got some work to do to prepare for events coming up in September-March! Not everyone is going full "in-person" as some budgets have tightened, so we're assisting a couple events with some online guests for real-time livestream Q&A and virtual meet & greets. We are also booking in some traditional musicians and online creators for in-person events upcoming.

Not being able to travel as much has been a bit of a downer, but it's great that tech allows events to do hybrid or completely online events. Even with things opening, it will be good to see events doing combo style events, so they can provide more interesting content to their audiences and the creators fans through the in-person activities and private/event specific online activities.

Registered Inter Idoru - Artist Management and Fuchsia with JETRO early this week. For those that do not know, JETRO, or the Japan External Trade Organization, is a government-related organization that works to promote mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world. They also help small and mid-sized Japan-based companies maximize export potential. Alot of my work entails helping overseas (not Japan) artists do showcase tours, promo tours, and support tours, as well as coordinating some collaboration between artists, publishers, and labels. Then the majority of my mental focus is on developing Japan-based artists in domestic market, with the side option of their exporting of themselves thru tours or releases. Now, I don't know how much measureable benefit (income? clients? support?) will come with my approved registration - and JETRO has thousands of small and mid-sized businesses in their partner database, however, the act of submitting my business activities and mission, previous activities, and then 24 hours later, getting the "you are approved...Trade Partner for International business..." email, has a very nice intrinsic value.

I'm also taking this time to give thanks to Hiroki Kumagai who has been working with me as an assistant. His input is very valuable and it is also nice to be able to give a lot of the admin sort of tasks to someone so I can consider other parts of the overall projects.
