アルティマ128は、数多くのモルトと
グレーンをブレンドした伝説的なブレンデッドスコッチ。

複雑さという意味では、まさに圧巻。

蜂蜜やバニラ、ドライフルーツ、

ハイランドモルトらしい重厚感に加えて、
ポイヤックワイン樽フィニッシュによる
奥行きのある味わいが魅力。

赤い果実、カシス、ダークチョコレート。

そこにベンネヴィス特有の少しワクシーで
複雑な個性が重なります。

飲み進めるほどに良さが見えてくるタイプ。
個人的には、こういう少しクセのあるウイスキーに惹かれます。

Tonight’s whisky is Ben Nevis with a Pauillac wine cask finish.

Rich Highland character meets dark berries, cassis, chocolate, and elegant oak.

What I enjoy most is the distillery’s signature waxy texture and complexity that keeps evolving in the glass.

This isn’t a whisky that tries to impress immediately.

Instead, it slowly wins you over with depth and character.

ラベルの可愛さに惹かれても、中身はしっかり本格派。
スペイサイドの人気蒸溜所アベラワーらしい、
シェリー樽由来の濃厚な果実味が魅力。

レーズン、オレンジピール、チョコレート、スパイス。
そして59.4％という高いアルコール度数からくる力強さ。

少量の加水で驚くほど表情が変わるので、
飲み方を試しながら楽しむのもおすすめ。

The label may look playful, but the whisky inside is seriously impressive.

This Speyside malt showcases rich sherry-cask influence with notes of raisins, orange peel, chocolate, and warming spices.

At 59.4% ABV, it packs plenty of power, yet remains beautifully balanced.

A few drops of water reveal even more layers, making it a whisky worth exploring slowly.

鹿児島県南さつま市にある津貫蒸溜所で造られるシングルモルト。
温暖な気候の中で熟成された原酒は、
濃厚な果実感とスパイス、
そして樽由来の力強い甘さが印象的。

ドライフルーツや黒糖を思わせるコクのある香りに、
しっかりした飲み応え。

近年のジャパニーズウイスキーの
進化を感じられる1本。

個人的には、最初の一口よりも二口目、
三口目の方が好きになるタイプ。
飲むたびに新しい発見があります。

MARS TSUNUKI 2024 Edition

Japanese whisky continues to surprise me.

Crafted at the Tsunuki Distillery in southern Japan, this single malt reflects the warm climate in which it matured.

Rich dried-fruit notes, brown sugar sweetness, warming spices, and deep oak character create a bold yet balanced dram.

It’s one of those whiskies that keeps opening up with every sip.

今日は少し特別な1杯。

BRUICHLADDICH 2003 / REST & BE THANKFUL

アイラモルトと聞くとスモーキーなイメージを持つ方も多いですが、このブルックラディは少し違います。

フルーティで華やかな香りに、熟した柑橘や蜂蜜、バニラの甘さ。
そして長い熟成から生まれる上品なオークのニュアンス。

アイラ島で蒸留されながらも、力強いピートではなく繊細な果実味を楽しめるのがブルックラディらしい魅力。

グラスを傾けるたびに表情が変わるので、
つい時間を忘れてしまいます。

Tonight’s pour is something special.

When people hear “Islay whisky,” they often expect smoke and peat.
This Bruichladdich tells a different story.

Elegant aromas of ripe citrus, honey, vanilla, and gentle oak unfold beautifully in the glass.
Despite being distilled on Islay, it focuses more on fruit and complexity than heavy peat.

Every sip reveals another layer, making it dangerously easy to lose track of time.

Bottles like this remind me why I fell in love with whisky in the first place.

でも飲むとかなり奥深い。
オレンジピール、アプリコット、紅茶、少しハチミツ。
熟成年数の長さからくる丸みがすごく綺麗で、アルコールの角をほとんど感じない。

フルーティーなんだけど、ただ甘いだけじゃなくて、
ちゃんと渋みやスパイス感もある。

派手に感動させるというより、
気づいたらグラスが空になってる危険なやつ。

This Brackla Distillery 2001 feels elegant from the very first sip —
but there’s much more depth underneath.

Orange peel, apricot, black tea, a drizzle of honey.
Years of maturation have rounded everything beautifully, with almost no harsh alcohol edge.

Fruity, yes — but balanced by gentle tannins and spice.

This is the kind of whisky I’d simply call “beautiful.”

Not loud or dramatic.
Just dangerously easy to keep drinking until the glass is suddenly empty.

蜂蜜、干し草、白胡椒。
あと奥のほうに、ふわっと焚いた暖炉みたいなスモーク。

古い木のおもちゃ箱みたいな、
少しノスタルジックな空気がある。
静かな夜にゆっくり付き合いたい1本。

A steam locomotive on the label already had my attention.

But TOY BOX Single Orkney Malt 2005 turned out to be beautifully classic Orkney.

Honey, hay, white pepper,
with a soft fireplace-like smoke lingering underneath.

It never shouts for attention,
yet somehow becomes more lovable with every sip.

There’s a nostalgic warmth to it —
like opening an old wooden toy box from childhood.

A whisky made for slow, quiet evenings.
