ラベル込みでかなりお気に入り。

The Exclusive MaltのTeaninich。

最初はドライでシャープ。
でも少し時間を置くと、柑橘っぽさや
白ぶどうみたいな透明感のある甘さが出てきて面白い。
奥の方にハーブやミネラル感もあって、
飲みながら表情が変わるタイプでした。

こういうクセのあるモルトって、
疲れてる日に飲みたくなります。

I first picked this bottle because of the owl label… but the whisky itself turned out to be just as interesting.

This Teaninich from The Exclusive Malt starts sharp and dry, then slowly reveals citrus, white grape sweetness, herbal notes, and a slightly mineral character.

It changes beautifully with time in the glass.
A whisky with personality — maybe not for everyone, but exactly the kind I enjoy on quieter nights.

Honestly, bottles like this are why I love single malts.

GLENLOSSIE 10 Years

口当たりは驚くほどなめらかで、
ハーブっぽい青さと、麦芽の甘みがふわっと広がる。
あとから少しクリーミーなニュアンスもあって、
飲み進めるほど落ち着くタイプ。
静かなバーでぼーっとしながら飲むのが似合う味。

GLENLOSSIE 10 Years is the kind of whisky that reminds me how elegant Speyside malts can be.

Soft on the palate, with gentle herbal freshness, sweet malt, and a creamy texture that slowly develops as it opens up.
It’s delicate, balanced, and incredibly easy to sink into.

Lately I’ve been drawn more to whiskies like this rather than heavy sherry bombs.
Something clean, quiet, and comforting feels right these days.

Not dramatic. Just beautifully composed.

今日はちょっと静かに飲みたい気分。

Signatory Vintage
GLEN SPEY Vintage 2011

華やかすぎないのに、ちゃんと印象に残るタイプ。
青リンゴや洋梨みたいなみずみずしい甘さのあとに、
麦のやさしい香ばしさと少しナッツっぽい余韻。
ノンチルフィルターらしい厚みもあって、
時間をかけてゆっくり楽しみたくなる一本。

こういうウイスキーを静かにおすすめしたくなる夜もあります。

Tonight felt like a quiet whisky night.
So I opened a bottle of “GLEN SPEY Vintage 2011” by Signatory Vintage.

It’s not flashy, but it leaves a beautiful impression.
Fresh notes of green apple and pear come first, followed by gentle malt sweetness, toasted nuts, and a rich texture from the non-chill filtration.

The kind of whisky that slowly opens up as you spend time with it.
Some bottles don’t need to shout to be memorable.

今日は少しだけ、ゆっくり飲みたい気分。

JURA 18 YEARS

最初はハチミツとトロピカルフルーツ。
そこからカカオ、コーヒー、樽の渋みがゆっくり追いかけてくる。

アイラみたいに強烈じゃないのに、
ちゃんと潮風っぽさがあるのが好き。

丸くて穏やかだけど、奥に少し影がある味。
静かな夜にはこういうのが似合う。

Honey and tropical fruits at first,
then cocoa, coffee, and gentle oak bitterness slowly unfold.

Not as aggressive as Islay malts,
but there’s still a subtle coastal character drifting through it.

Soft and rounded,
yet carrying a little shadow underneath.

重たさが妙に心地いい夜もある。

Dailuaine Single Malt Scotch Whisky

厚みのあるモルト感に、ドライフルーツ、少しビターなチョコ。
後半にナッツっぽさとオイリーさが残るのが、すごくダルユーインらしい。

華やかというより、“静かに重たい”。
こういうウイスキーを飲む日は、
たぶん少し疲れてる日かもしれない。

Sometimes a bottle catches your eye because of the label.

“Dailuaine Single Malt Scotch Whisky”

But the liquid inside absolutely delivers too.

Rich malt depth, dried fruits, slightly bitter chocolate,
then an oily, nutty finish that feels unmistakably Dailuaine.

Not bright or flashy—
more like a quiet kind of heaviness.

This is the kind of whisky I reach for

ノンチルフィルターで、樽の個性そのまま。
バニラ、ココナッツ、フレッシュなオーク。

加水されてない分、少しワイルドだけど、
それが逆にリアルでいい。
グレンリベットってこんな顔もあるんだと思う一本。

Ending with something raw and honest.

Non-chill filtered, cask-driven character.

しっかりピートいきたい夜。

Bunnahabhain (Staoisha) 2014

ブナハーブンの中でもヘビーピート仕様。
スモーク、潮気、ヨード感がガツンとくる。

でもその奥に、ちゃんとモルトの甘さ。
焦がした砂糖みたいなニュアンスが残るのがいい。

ただ強いだけじゃない、ちゃんと美味しいピート。
クセあるけど、ハマると抜け出せないやつ。

A night for serious peat.

Heavily peated style from Bunnahabhain.
Smoke, salt, iodine—bold and immediate.

But underneath, there’s a sweetness—

蜂蜜、りんご、バニラ、ほんのりスモーク。

すべてが丸くて、どこにも角がない。
でも薄いわけじゃない、ちゃんと深い。

“安心感ってこういうことだよね”っていう味。

The Cooper’s Choice 2009 (Speyburn)

リフィルシェリー樽だから、重すぎない。
でもちゃんと奥にレーズンやプラムのニュアンス。

アルコールはしっかりめで、口に含むとスパイスとオークがじわっと広がる。
後半にくるドライさがすごくいい。

派手な甘さじゃなくて、“削ぎ落としたシェリー感”。

Opening something a bit more “insider” tonight.

Refill sherry cask—so it’s not overly rich,
but still carries subtle notes of raisin and plum.

Firm ABV, with spice and oak unfolding on the palate.
The dry finish is what really makes it.

Not a sweet sherry bomb—
more like a stripped-down, refined expression.

This is the kind of bottle you share with someone who gets it

今日はちょっとだけ王道を。

GLENMORANGIE 12 YEARS

バーボン樽由来のバニラと蜂蜜のやわらかさに、シェリー樽のドライフルーツと軽いスパイスが重なる、バランス型の優等生。

一口目はオレンジピールとキャラメル。
時間が経つと、ナッツと少しのビターさがじんわり。
こういうウイスキーって、結局いちばん長く付き合うやつかも。

Back to the classics tonight.

Life in Ruins（Inchgower）

若めの7年熟成だけど、意外としっかりしたボディ。
フルーティーさの中に、ほんのりスパイスと樽の渋みがあって、軽すぎないのがいい。

“廃墟の中の生活”っていう名前、どこか寂しさもあるけど、味わいはちゃんと生きてる。
こういうギャップ、好きだな。

This one caught my eye because of the label.
“Life in Ruins – Inchgower”

Young at 7 years, but surprisingly full-bodied.
There’s fruitiness upfront, followed by a hint of spice and gentle oak bitterness—keeps it from feeling too light.

The name feels a bit melancholic, but the whisky itself is very much alive.
I kind of love that contrast.
