アメリカンウイスキーを少しずつ増えてきました。
学生の頃にジャックダニエルを飲みすぎて以来、20年近くバーボンに苦手意識がありましたが最近になって、バーボンの若いアルコールの力強さや、チャーリング由来の甘みが楽しめるようになってきました。
ヴィオロンで販売するお酒を選ぶ時、大前提として自分の好きな銘柄を選ぶようにしています。そして、お酒に興味を持ち始めた人が、自分の好みの味を見つけらえるように、製造方法や地域の特徴などの違いを比べらるようなラインナップを心掛けています。
今まではスコッチ中心でしたが、これからはバーボンもお楽しみいただければ幸いです。まだまだ僕も勉強不足で、あれやこれやスタンダードとし置くべきウイスキーがあるかもしれません。そんな時はご教示ください。
世界的にアルコールの消費も減り、蒸溜所を一時休業するメーカーの話もここ数年で耳にします。健康のためには飲まない方がいいのかもしれませんが、飲んでも良いと思える時に、せっかくだから美味しいお酒を飲んでいただけるように、しっかり準備して、皆さんのご来店をお待ちしております。
I used to be wary of bourbon, but in recent years I’ve come to enjoy its bold character and the sweetness that comes from the barrel. At Violon, I’ll be expanding our selection of American whiskey as well. Centered on bottles I genuinely like, I want to build a lineup that makes it easy to compare differences in production methods and regional styles, so beginners can find what they truly enjoy. I’m still learning, so if you have any recommendations, I’d love to hear them.
