This week we choose a live performance by MADJI of the mysterious INSTANBUL GHETTO CLUB collective. Fusing Middle Eastern rhythms and flavours with cutting edge electronica, their TOHA radio set recorded in Taipei recently scored them Resident Advisors’ “Mix of the day” last week, describing them as “an anonymous trans-disciplinary art initiative crafting immersive, genre-defying audiovisual performances that merge contemporary art and rave culture, using film, theater, literature, and storytelling as integral parts of its artistic language”. Trainspotting between the masks, MADJI seems to be the one responsible for the modular and bass synth elements, we’re excited to offer a rare chance to see his solo performance!
