【HARIO Recommended Recipe】
We will introduce HARIO’s recommended recipes using the V60 Coffee Paper Filter Meteo paired with various drippers in a two-part series.

Try them with your own dripper and enjoy the results.

■What is the METEOR Paper Filter?
The V60 Meteor Coffee Paper Filter was developed specifically for specialty coffee.
It offers nearly three times the permeation rate of our V60 paper filters.
The raw materials used are paper, abaca, and polylactic acid (PLA), with excellent liquid permeability.

〇Recipe Breakdown

・METEOR×V60 Coffee Dripper 02
With standard V60 paper filters, drawdown tends to slow in the later stage of brewing.In contrast, the METEOR filter’s high permeability allows water to drain smoothly until the end.
This helps bring out the full body of acidity and sweetness characteristic of specialty coffee,while creating a silky texture and greater depth of flavor.

・METEOR×Immersion Dripper SWITCH 200
This recipe uses multiple pours, gradually adding small amounts of hot water.With only a single pour, floating and settled grounds can lead to uneven extraction. By repeatedly pouring to submerge the grounds, the recipe aims for more even extraction.
It’s an easy method that helps beginners brew delicious coffee.
The METEOR filter has a fast drawdown, allowing you to control the contact time between the coffee grounds and hot water while maintaining proper extraction.

To celebrate SCAJ2025, we’re introducing original recipes created by the top three baristas from the V60 Brewers Cup World — each crafted using the V60 Neo Dripper.

Each recipe was personally developed by the baristas to showcase their unique brewingphilosophy and approach to flavor.

Through their techniques and ideas, you’ll discover new possibilities of the V60 Neo Dripper— from balance and aroma to the expression of each coffee’s character.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of V60, the V60 Brewers Cup will be held at SCAJ
2025!

The Japan competition will take place on the first day, followed by the World competition on
the third day.

Brewers and coffee enthusiasts from around the world will gather to showcase
their skills and passion.

We invite you to experience the timeless charm and depth of manual
brewing with the V60 through this milestone celebration.

Dates: 24 September (Wednesday)
Out of 25 competitors, one competitor will be selected to proceed to the World
Championships.
Application period: 1 July - 25 July.
(If the number of applicants exceeds the limit, a lottery will be conducted)
Participation fee: 10,000 yen

■V60 Brewers Cup 2025 World
Dates: 26(Fri) September.
The nine winners of the qualifying rounds held in each country will participate in the
competition.
Qualifying countries:
Australia, Brazil, China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan

HARIO's heatproof glass is manufactured at the only heat-resistant glass factory in Japan.

We would like to introduce you to the factory where V60 drippers and other heat-resistant glass products are made.

Let’s Take a Look at Our Annealing Process.

The lehr (annealing furnace) heats the glass up to 620℃ and then slowly cools it, which removes the stresses that are developed. Removing these stresses makes the next processing step easier.

To ensure that these stresses are thoroughly removed, skilled workers inspect each piece by hand. Their expertise ensures the highest quality in every product we make.

This dripper extracts coffee after immersing ground coffee in hot water.
It starts dripping after the switch is pressed, allowing anyone to extract coffee evenly.

Grind: medium-fine
hot water: 300mL
Hot water temperature: 97°C

0:00 1st add 50ｍL Blooming
0:30 2nd add 125ｍL Pour gently in a circular motion from the center outward.
1:20 3rd add 125ｍL Pour in a circular motion from the outer edge to the center,as if rinsing the grounds.
2:30-3:15 Wait until the coffee has completely dripped through.
