では大きな大きな発表。
８月中旬からユーラシアトレーディング株式会社がタイの新しいビールメーカーのカラバオビールの正規輸入元として販売開始します。タイビール輸入市場に参入して１０年近くたちますが、一番ワクワクの気持ちです。実は今年の初めに、長年続いて市場拡大達成をした私が愛していたレオビールの販売は将来難しくなり、代わりのいいものがないかと探したところ、素晴らしいもの見つけました。
理由としていくつある：
ータイではビール市場に新規参入するのは非常に難しいにもかかわらず、エネルギードリンクメーカーとして、”ビール”の醸造免許を取得したのは、大きい企業ながらチャレンジ精神があり素晴らしい
ーBrewmasterは実はベルギー人、私の地元のメヘレンのビールLamotで長年のルーツがある。
ー担当者の人間性が素晴らしい。一緒に落ち着いてサポートしあい、お客様支えながら市場拡大することができるだろう。
ーラインナップはラガーのみではなくＩＰＡ、Ｗｅｉｚｅｎ、Ｄｕｎｋｅｌもある。タイビールはラガーのイメージが強いが、実際には様々なタイプの美味しいビールがある。実は１０年以上の個人的にタイ国内のクラフトコミュニティといろいろな友人の付き合いがあり、その中に素晴らしい醸造家もいる。（今回もそのつながりのおかげである）
とにかくとにかくより素晴らしいもの手に入れて皆様にいち早く飲ませてあげたい。
カラバオの意味は水牛、タイのシンボルです。味が飲みやすく素晴らしい。ＩＰＡとかも飲みやすくちゃんとできている。売っている人たちもナイス。大きな企業ですがベンチャーの気持ちもある最高の文化。実はエネルギードリンク市場では、国内では一部のカテゴリーではナンバーワンになっている。
ちょっと複雑な気持ちなのは、自分が長年かけて育てたブランドと競争しなければならないことですが、今までできたことは自信になって今までできたこと以上を目指す目標にはなる。皆様これからカラバオのことをよろしくお願いいたします。
最後に、私はこの発表をずっとずっと皆様にしたくて、交渉や現地への出張（展示会での商談）を繰り返してきました。まだ発表できなくて内容を話せなかったところからこれからはたくさん話せるようになる楽しさ、わくわくを感じており、心から営業することができる私の幸せをぜひ感じてください。
カラバオ万歳！
In English. After almost 10 years of importing Thai beers in Japan I am very delightful to be able to announce the start of importing Thailand new national beer brand Carabao. Carabao, originally a stock listed top energy drink and beverage maker was successful in acquiring a national brewing license and is very successful and the talk of town after the launch of their beers.
In the last months there was long road of negotiations, business trips and preparations and a lot of documents that had to be taken care of but we are happy that we can focus on selling a product that is very unique. I wanted to talk about it but couldn't until the deal was reached. We will deliver the products in Japan mid August.
There are many exciting points for me personally and business wise. A fun point is that the brewmaster is a Belgian just like me. There is a line up of not only lager beer, getting to know the Thai craft beer market and making many friends there through the years (one of them helped me with this deal) and being able to show Japanese people that there is more beyond Lager in Thailand etc....
It will still feel a bit strange competing a brand that I have built here in Japan myself, Leo, which was a wonderful experience of its own, but this is destiny and I am confident that it will become an even bigger story also built on my past experience and going beyond lager beers and using my experience as a salesman of different styles of beers.
Working together with a very nice new team which combines both the strength of a big company with a venture spirit of a new business expansion department.
In Japan people like the words "giant killing" where the underdog beats the giant. In business doing giant killing is the most satisfactory thing that can happen, it embeds freedom and ultimate saitisfaction. Our experience, friendship and enthusiasm and that of our new supplier will make it happen.
