Domaine VINCEY
昔、何かで読んだ記憶がある
「シャルドネは残酷なまでにテロワールを映し出す鏡のようなブドウだ」
一通りテイスティングしながら、ふと思い出したフレーズ
一方で閃いたのは、当主のカンタンは勤勉な着実な仕事でもってテロワールを表現しているが、裏テーマとして誰にも言わずに、妻のマリーヌという人間の全体を表現しようとしてるのでは？
実際に訪問して、対応してしてくれたホスピタリティ溢れるマリーヌと接した経験があるからこそたどり着いた仮説です
それぞれのキュヴェがマリーヌという人の様々な一面を映し出しているように感じました
もしこの仮説が正しいのだとしたら、この世で最高な素敵でカッコいい生き様なのでは？
I seem to remember reading somewhere a long time ago:
“Chardonnay is a grape that acts like a mirror, reflecting the terroir with almost brutal precision.”
As I went through the tasting, that phrase suddenly came to mind.
At the same time, it occurred to me: While Kantan expresses the terroir through his diligent, steady work, could it be that, as an underlying theme—without telling anyone—he’s actually trying to express the whole person that is his wife Marine ?
This hypothesis came about precisely because I actually visited the winery and experienced the warm hospitality of Marine, who welcomed me.
I felt as though each cuvée reflected a different facet of Marine’s personality.
If this hypothesis is correct, I can’t help but think this must be the most wonderful and cool way to live in the world.
これからもずっと追いかけていきたい造り手です
