The third event of The Nippon Bar Experience hosts Satoshi Sugiura , a ‘tropical’’ master of Japanese bartending culture: long hair, floral shirts, and a straw hat.
He hails from Okinawa, the island where he lives, and he shows off his skills right from the first meeting.

Satoshi Sugiura honed his skills through nine years of immersive training in both classic Japanese bartending and flair bartending in Tokyo’s vibrant mixology scene.
His talent has significantly contributed to the success of the bars he managed, including The Odd Couple in Shanghai, which rose to #38 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2020 ranking.

Returning to Japan in 2022, Satoshi took on the role of Bar Manager at , where his creative touch helped propel the bar to #80 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023.
