17 anni! Cronaca di un f***e salto nel buio…….finito benissimo!!
Ciao a tutti,
questo è un saluto e un ringraziamento perché dopo 17 anni di onorato servizio, è giunto per noi il momento di appendere grembiule e cavatappi al chiodo.
Se chiudiamo gli occhi e torniamo all’inizio di questa avventura, facciamo fatica a riconoscerci. Venivamo da una realtà molto più grande, totalmente differente, svolgevamo un lavoro completamente diverso ed avevamo in tasca più sogni che certezze. Lasciare la nostra "comfort zone” stravolgendo le nostre vite, sembrava un azzardo f***e.
Oggi nel momento in cui vendiamo la taverna, ci rendiamo conto che quel salto nel buio ci ha cambiato profondamente. Vivere e lavorare fuori dal proprio guscio ci ha costretti a crescere, smussare gli angoli ( per due liguri impresa titanica!! ) e a scoprirci capaci di gestire situazioni che mai avremmo pensato di saper gestire.
Ma il regalo più grande non è stato il risultato professionale: sono state le persone. In questi 17 anni grazie a questo lavoro, abbiamo intrecciato legami e visto nascere amicizie profonde che, se fossimo rimasti dove eravamo, non avrebbero mai avuto modo di esistere.
Guardando indietro, possiamo dirlo ad alta voce: abbiamo fatto un buon lavoro. Ma la verità è che non l’abbiamo fatto da soli….ma insieme a voi e soprattutto grazie a voi!!
Certo, a pensarci bene non è stata una passeggiata….. siamo riusciti a superare una pandemia con tutte le incognite che rappresentava e che a vederla oggi ci aveva fatto riscoprire il fascino del pigiama e dei gel igienizzanti, siamo sopravvissuti a stagioni intere lavorando in “compagnia” di cantieri edili che spuntavano come funghi, dove per riuscire a venirci a trovare, bisognava stipulare una polizza sulla vita per fare una gincana tra impalcature creative, polvere ovunque e il dolce “ concerto” dei martelli pneumatici in sottofondo come colonna sonora….a volte abbiamo pensato che mancassero solo il filo spinato e le mine antiuomo …poi avremmo avuto tutto.
Ci sono stati momenti di stanchezza sia fisica che psicologica che non ci vergogniamo ad ammettere, ma ogni volta che eravamo in difficoltà…arrivava il vostro sorriso, la vostra compagnia, la vostra amicizia e noi ripartivamo più forti di prima. Possiamo dire che siete stati il nostro integratore d’energia o se preferite la nostra bussola quando il buio si faceva fitto.
Se i “nuovi arrivati” di 17 anni fa, sono diventati una realtà solida e un punto di riferimento per tanti è merito della vostra fedeltà ostinata di cui non ci stancheremo mai di ringraziarvi.
Passiamo ora il testimone, con la serenità di chi sa di aver costruito qualcosa di bello, lasciando l’attività in mani che sapranno darvi il meglio.
Noi ci prendiamo finalmente un periodo di pausa, pronti da buoni genovesi quali siamo a salpare verso nuovi obiettivi.

Seventeen Years — A Journey We will always cherish
Dear friends,
After seventeen remarkable years, the moment has come for us to close this chapter of our lives and pass the torch. As we hang up our aprons and corkscrews, we do so with hearts filled with gratitude for a journey that has meant far more to us than we could ever have imagined.
When we think back to the beginning, we hardly recognize the people we were then. We came from a very different area, with different careers and far more dreams than certainties. Leaving our comfort zone and changing our lives so completely felt like a bold and uncertain step into the unknown.
Today we realize just how much that decision shaped us. This experience pushed us to grow, to adapt, and to discover strengths we did not know we possessed. It challenged us in ways we never expected, but it also gave us rewards beyond measure.
Above all, the greatest gift has been the people we met along the way. Over these seventeen years we have had the privilege of welcoming you, sharing moments, conversations, laughter, and creating bonds that go far beyond a place of work. Many of those encounters have become genuine friendships that we will carry with us always.
Of course, the journey was not without its challenges. We navigated the uncertainty of a global pandemic and endured seasons spent working alongside construction sites that seemed to appear overnight. At times, reaching us required the courage of an explorer—zigzagging between scaffolding, clouds of dust, and the relentless rhythm of jackhammers in the background. And yet, through every challenge, your presence, your smiles, and your friendship sustained us and gave us the strength to continue.
If the newcomers of seventeen years ago gradually became a familiar and trusted presence for many, it is entirely thanks to your support and faith in us. For this, we will remain forever grateful.
Today we leave with the quiet satisfaction of knowing we built something meaningful together. We entrust this place to new hands, confident it will continue to welcome you with the same warmth and care.
As for us, we will take some time to pause and reflect before, as true Genovese at heart, setting sail once again toward new horizons.
