Acquamadre’s door is not going to be open anymore. After just one year since opening situation could not be imaginable, but happened so unexpected an so early for a young unusual business, at least in Italy, that I could not handle that.
Sharing trouble could be an occasion to bond each other as human being, but, to be honest, it seems that split us apart leads by fear, and in front of fear there is no mercy for everyone: Cain has to die, not place for redemption or salvation.
But, as I wrote in the past, Acquamadre is not just a place, is an Idea, is a style — the Italian tea style — . And Ideas doest dies. This idea is still telling stories about agricultural teas made free from the industry of the bags, a sweet and savoury cuisine made on seasonal and local products and good, enjoyable pairing with no alcohol veneration.
So Acquamadre does not exist anymore as place, but time will come and a transformation is arriving, because as Aristoteles said life is change: it requires commitment in everything we do everyday to put all the best we can, but also requires a good part of not attachment.
I would like to say thank to Anna The Tea Squirrel because this out of maximum time interview gave me the opportunity to think about Acquamadre experience so far and my tea-infused cooking style. My only regret is that I can’t not say anymore come and see, im waiting for you, but instead let me say see you soon, in sha Allah.
