Now this is somewhat embarrassing. A lady ordered plug spawn for a couple of logs. The lung oyster plug spawn is finally ready to go - but for the life of me, I can't find the original email. If you happen to read this, please email me: [email protected]

Late and chaotic as always, but slowly getting there.... Rætur Framtíðar 2026 will happen at LbhÍ in Hvanneyri this weekend. One of the perks of having the university as co-host is lunch on both day and breakfast on Sunday - for 2500 kr each. The event itself is free of charge, of course.

The pub in Hvanneyri will open for us on Saturday evening so everyone up to it can hang out and have a hamburger and a drink :-)

Sunday morning will be dedicated to fungi, as it was two years ago. The funding wasn't enough to invite a prominent guest from abroad this time around, but we'll have fun anyway!

Safwan Daud will talk about fungal biodiversity under forested sites in Western Iceland. He is a master's student in biology at Háskóli Íslands, researching how afforestation impacts fungi, bacteria and other ground-dwelling lifeforms. Looking very much forward!
