Madness of cricket resembles the name of our club' SHCC' ,a cricket club for those who are playing unprofessional cricket in a very professional way.It means not for money still very professional. Our journey started with our mentor and best guy "Saket Vijayvargi" .We are residing in a society named Shiv Heights where there are around 200 flats where we started playing cricket on Sundays as a ti
me pass for recreation from our regular professional work in the year 2012 inside our society premises where there were many restrictions and we all were trying to play in a big ground but on sundays nearly all grounds were busy to play . Then one of our guru Shri Shri Amit Deotale suggested about the open space behind the society ,it was about 4-5 acres of land but was like a jungle,then few of members started this reform to convert that jungle into ground ,first year we took help of jcb to cut all the big bushes and small too and tried to make the main pitch with jcb only but we didnt succeeded completely. In earlier days there were around 14 players who use to cricket inside the society the gradually we moved on to clear the jungle completely and transform it to a genuine cricketing track ,in this process we got a person who was like our angel the one and only Harish bhau Kangali who helped us a lot for making the ground by providing all the amenities which were required to make the ground more proper.Rest is all history ,we started playing on the ground and astonishingly in past two years our number of players reached to 38 from 14 nearly triple the no who use to play inside. Then gradually benchmark was set and mentor was introduced in the game and that was Saket the man with innovations,he made the whole process so interesting starting from each teams captain selection to each player selection remains full of suspense ,then designing of series ,team names being different for every series are really adorable and all brain spent by one man i.e. Saket then from the starting of second series we got advisors also along with mentor .You all will be surprised to know that Saket is managing this all process and making set of rules for every series along with the whole process of team selection not from Nagpur but from Hyderabad which is really a master stroke by him. Now,comes the turn of team members maximum of the team members are professionals but the height is that wherever they may be on Saturday in any part of India they try to reach ground on Sunday for this madness .Best example is of our guruji Shri Amit Deotale who traveled all the long way from Haridwar along with all his labors in Rajdhani second Ac to play on Sunday ,so this is called madness he paid around 20,000 to play for a single Sunday on rajdhani tickets.There are many more such examples of our crazy team members who did same deeds to reach on Sunday to play cricket. Among all the members many are those who never played cricket in their past life but now for them cricket is a part of life ,many are like me who did not get much chances in past because of personal commitments in life but they are enjoying their second inings at the fullest by playing. We also have senior members like Satish ji ,Khandelwal ji who are 50 plus but more fit than many among us and their commitment on field also is commendable . You might have heard about Unity in Diversity but if you all have to experience it come to our club on Sunday you will see it and also members from a age bar of 22-50 all playing together without the feeling of any generation gap. Madness among the player to maintain the ground and to stock basic amenities also is great in which one who topped the rank in madness is Swapnil Band the undisputed Bakar King in our club who is the most committed player of our club .Thanks Swap for all your support,then comes the turn of members who play the role groundsmen even in busy schedule of their weekdays to maintain and roll the pitch and the ground ,a hearty thanks to all of them . It was one of our members Mr Piyush Malpani who got permission from the landowner of our ground to play in mere future without which our club might have been homeless . Madness seems here also our many players come to play at 6 morning from areas like Itwari, Dharampeth,Ravinagar,Shivaji nagar ,Ajni and Besa .Even Harish Bhau Kangali who is such a busy politician comes regularly for maintaining ground and for playing also. This is all about our SHCC ,we all hope better suggestions from all of you to make our game more interesting.
