Jammu Club Sets New Sporting Benchmark with Squash Court Upgrade and New Professional TT Table

Jammu Club Upgrades Squash Court; Installs New Table Tennis Table for Members

Jammu, 1 March: Under the dynamic guidance of Shri Ramesh Kumar, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, who happens to be the Vice President of Jammu Club, the Club continues to scale new heights in strengthening its sports infrastructure and enhancing member facilities.

Carrying forward this vision, Jammu Club has successfully completed the comprehensive revamp and modernisation of its Squash Court, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing infrastructure development initiatives.

The Squash Court has been fully upgraded with brand-new professional-grade flooring and meticulously refurbished walls, creating a superior, safe, and match-ready playing environment. The transformation reflects the Club’s unwavering commitment to maintaining high standards in sporting amenities while offering members a premium and contemporary sporting experience.

In addition, further augmenting indoor sports facilities, the Club has installed a brand-new professional Table Tennis (TT) table, replacing the earlier one that had deteriorated over time. The new installation ensures improved play quality and an enhanced sporting experience for members.

Both the upgraded Squash Court and the newly installed TT facility are now fully operational and open for members.

Hony. Secretary Gaurav Gupta stated,
“At Jammu Club, we firmly believe that quality infrastructure forms the backbone of a vibrant sporting culture. The comprehensive upgradation of the Squash Court and installation of a new professional TT table reflect our continuous resolve to deliver tangible and visible improvements for our members. We remain committed to further elevating the overall Club experience.”

Gaurav also placed on record his sincere appreciation for Mr. Vikram Dhawan, Chairman, Health Club Sub-Committee, for his relentless efforts and close supervision in ensuring the timely and successful completion of the upgradation works. He specially commended Mr. Chaitanya Sharma, Member, Health Club Sub-Committee, for his focused involvement and valuable contribution towards enhancing the Squash Court facility.

The managing Committee reiterated its firm resolve to further strengthen sporting and recreational infrastructure, ensuring that members continue to benefit from modern, well-maintained, and high-quality facilities befitting the stature of Jammu Club.

We are proud to announce that the Squash Court at Jammu Club has been completely transformed. The entire flooring has been professionally redone and the walls fully renovated, creating a superior and match-ready playing environment for our members.

Additionally, as the previous TT table had deteriorated and was no longer suitable for quality play, we have replaced it with a brand-new Table Tennis (TT) table to ensure a better and more professional sporting experience.

These upgrades reflect our continued commitment to strengthening sports infrastructure and enhancing member facilities.

Both the Squash Court and the new TT table are now fully operational and ready for members.

Jammu Club Welcomes NewYear 2026 with Grand Cultural Evening

Jammu Club ushered in the New Year with grandeur, enthusiasm, and a spirit of togetherness through a spectacular New Year Night celebration held at the Club premises. The event witnessed overwhelming participation from members and guests, creating a vibrant, joyous, and festive atmosphere to welcome the beginning of the year.

The celebrations were graced by the esteemed presence of Smt. Monika Wali Dulloo, wife of the Chief Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir, Sh. Atal Dulloo, and Sh. Ramesh Kumar, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, who also serves as the Vice President of Jammu Club. Their gracious presence as Special Guests added dignity, warmth, and distinction to the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Sh. Ramesh Kumar, IAS, extended heartfelt New Year greetings to the members and their families. He appreciated Jammu Club’s role as a premier institution fostering social harmony, cultural vibrancy, and community bonding, and expressed confidence that the Club would continue to achieve new milestones in the years ahead.

The highlight of the evening was the electrifying performance by renowned singer Rashmeet Kaur, whose soulful and energetic renditions mesmerized the audience. Adding a special local flavour to the celebrations, Jammu’s talented artist Shanaya Khanna delivered a captivating performance, earning widespread appreciation for her remarkable talent and stage presence.

The celebrations were led by Mr. Gaurav Gupta, Honorary Secretary, Jammu Club, along with the Managing Committee members and the Club staff. In his address, the Secretary conveyed warm New Year greetings to all members and expressed hope that the coming year brings peace, happiness, prosperity, good health, and overall progress for everyone.

Speaking about the Club’s vision, Mr. Gaurav Gupta stated that under the dynamic guidance and supervision of the Vice President, Jammu Club is steadily scaling new heights. He reaffirmed the Club’s commitment to organizing meaningful cultural and social programmes in the larger interest of its members, emphasizing that such celebrations go beyond entertainment and play a vital role in preserving cultural values while strengthening social bonds.

On the occasion, Mr. Gaurav Gupta specially appreciated Er. Pooja Kohli, Chairperson, Entertainment Sub-Committee, for her sincere dedication . He also lauded Er. Vasundhara Sharma for her creativity and outstanding efforts in designing event creatives and managing digital promotion. The Secretary further acknowledged Dr. Ritesh Gupta and Mr. Vikram Dhawan for their valuable support and cooperation.

He expressed sincere gratitude to all Managing Committee members, sponsors, and the entire staff of Jammu Club for their wholehearted support, teamwork, and efforts in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the celebrations. Later in the evening, the Secretary honoured the performing artists for their outstanding performances, acknowledging their contribution in making the New Year Night truly memorable.

Jammu, October 7: The Handi Restaurant at Jammu Club was inaugurated today by Sh. Ramesh Kumar, IAS, Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Vice President of Jammu Club, in the presence of Gaurav Gupta, Hony. Secretary, Jammu Club, and members of the Managing Committee.

The Handi Restaurant, which has been recently renovated to elevate its ambiance and overall dining experience, now offers a refined and elegant space for members to enjoy. The upgraded interiors, contemporary décor, and enhanced menu reflect the Club’s continuous commitment to excellence in hospitality.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Ramesh Kumar, IAS, appreciated the efforts of Gaurav Gupta, Secretary, and his entire team for their dedication and vision in modernizing the Club’s infrastructure. He said, “Jammu Club has always upheld high standards of service and member satisfaction.
