• The death of baby Ramya in a road accident at Panjagutta after fighting for life for nine days is heart breaking and is most unfortunate.
• Taking cognisance of the tragic circumstances under which the accident occurred, a strong case of Culpable Homicide not amounting to murder ( instead of case of accident ) had been registered against the accused driver who was driving the vehicle without license and after consuming alcohol.
• The accused driver was immediately arrested and sent for remand who is now in Prison.
• The accused is liable for punishment upto 10 years of imprisonment .
• All necessary evidences including the evidence of consumption of alcohol, CCTV Footage etc., have been collected to prove the guilt of the accused in the court of law
• A requisition also has been filed in the court to take the accused on police custody and to conduct Test Identification Parade ( TIP) of the accused
• A strong case is being made in terms of collection of evidences so as to prove the guilt of the accused without fail and get him awarded punishment by court of law.
• A report is also being sent against the management of the Bar who served liquor to minors ( below 21years of age) to the Commissioner Excise for initiating legal action .
• The Hyderabad City Police assures all possible measures shall be taken to get the accused convicted in this case by charge sheeting the accused at the earliest and conducting the trial through fast track .
• Measures shall also be intensified to prevent such incidents in future in coordination with all the concerned departments.
