What does Nom Nom mean, is what we will answer straight away. When one has had a great meal and wants to express the same while his mouth is full, is when one says Nom Nom. And ya it is not an oriental word, but from the modern English dictionary. South East Asian countries are where most of us are traveling these days, be it the Singapore F1 night race or the shopping escapades to Bangkok. And Malaysia not only has the Petronas towers but also Borneo the oldest rain forest in the world. And we all love the Indonesian islands along with the Disney in Hong Kong, don’t we? With so many wonderful South Asian influences in our life, their cuisine is bound to filter into our lives, the modern, zippy, fun loving Indian knows the difference between Sushi and Sashimi, or between a Thai basil, basil and tulsi. She loves her Thai curry and the street food across South East Asia. Its no longer Soya sauce and Chilli sauce she craves for on her table, but rich dark Soy for the wasabi water chestnut. We at Nom Nom strive hard to satisfy the well traveled foodie. And we would love to end up with their secret recipes or new-fangled experiences. Our chef has lived in most South East Asian countries in the past year and we want to deliver the same tastes here, if you happen to travel there, we would be delighted if you bring us a few fresh Asian herbs or a Sake bottle and we can cook up a delight for you! The décor was an inspiration from all the natural elements, be it the coir ropes or the marble pebbles. The bamboo mat along with the warp and weft of palm leaf adorns our wall. The coppered bar lends its character and we love our chopstick inspired chairs. The outdoors had to be fun and natural, we don’t like the honking and have tried to camouflage it with the water-fall, hope it soothes the outdoor experience for you. And we are hoping that over time the plants will flower and bloom on the periphery of the outdoor. Take the South east Asian journey with us, along with the Sushi from the far east and all the spices we have tried to pack into our menu. It will be our constant endeavor to tease your pallet directly from our woks in the kitchen, and our service staff will encourage all to have that ‘one more’ sake bomb for a fun filled evening. After all dining experiences are now more focused on having a ‘good time’.
