Perched above a bustling stretch of Church Street, this is open-air restaurant, consisting of furniture made from wood, is popular for its breezy feel. An illuminated and refrigerated display cabinet shows off the daily specials and a glass-walled kitchen is open to visual inspection as you can watch your food going through the different stages of preparation. ion is the ambience and the prospects it offers of sitting outside on a cool Bangalore evening. This is perhaps also the reason why it attracts young couples. There is mainly Continental food in the menu, with soups, salads, pasta, steaks and sizzlers on offer. The 20 Feet Salad is well balanced and is brimming with exotic ingredients like artichokes and feta cheese. The Vegetable Lasagna was liked by everyone in the group, including hard-core carnivores, but that’s what a liberal dose of cheese can do! Sizzlers, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, come in huge portions and are satisfying. The Chateaubriand with Mushroom Ragout and Red Wine Sauce is as good as it gets, but just make sure your order is precise. A four-course power lunch, which is on between 11 am and 4 pm, is priced at Rs. 342, and available in Italian, American and French versions. We tried the American option, which had asparagus soup, chicken strips, steak and a chocolate cake. The meal is value for money, as the stake alone would cost as much as the entire lunch. If you are a chocolate lover (isn’t everyone?), try their Decadence Cake, which is possibly the best chocolate dessert in Bangalore.
