Dear TLV Swingfest Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we have to pause TLV Swingfest for the coming year (2024).
The ever-growing conflict in our home has made it impossible to return to business as usual.
Due to the war, many of our Israeli dance friends (both men and women) have left their regular lives to volunteer in the search and rescue effort or serve in the military. Many have lost family and loved ones.
We would never run an event without being able to guarantee the safety of its participants, especially those visiting us from abroad. We are committed to providing the highest level of safety and quality to all of our staff and dancers, and unfortunately, the situation at the moment does not allow for traveling and visiting the beautiful and historical sites that make Israel so special.
We are proud of being the first (but hopefully not the last) democratic country in the Middle East that organizes WCS dance festivals and provides an inclusive environment for all its participants.
This too shall pass, and one day hopefully soon we will be able to host you again!
All we ask of you is to believe in us, in our WCS Community. Soon we will be back, stronger than ever, dancing with you on the shores of Tel Aviv.
We will miss you all dearly till then! Hereโs to better times!
