Our Tractor Safety Awareness Training is filling up fast!

This vital training is designed for young people aged 14-17 years and helps build the knowledge and skills needed to stay safe around farm machinery.

Today, day 1 of our 2 day programme of Tractor safety Awareness training was ran St. Kevin's Community College, Dunlavin where young farmers had the opportunity to take part in our certified programme. Our 2nd day will take place tomorrow.
This programme is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and delivered in collaboration with Wicklow Local Community Safety Partnership and FRS Training, with the help of The Hillbilly Tractor Run, Mark, Willie and Sharon from Dayne's Agri Services, who provided the tractor and trailor, and recognise the value of this type of training for our young farmers.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the The Hillbilly Tractor Run Committee for their generous support of our Tractor Safety Awareness Training for young farmers.

By making their GAA premises in Valleymount available, they have played a key role in helping us deliver this important training over two successful days, with more sessions planned in the near future. From the outset, they recognised the value and benefits the course brings to young farmers and the wider farming community.

Free Course for Teens: Safe Tractor Skills Training in Wicklow

We will be delivering a number of upcoming courses for 14–16-year-olds as part of an great initiative run by the Wicklow Local Community Safety Partnership

The course is a great opportunity for young people to learn practical tractor skills and, most importantly, how to operate safely from the very beginning.
