As you all know, we are soon moving onto the next new & exciting chapter of our lives. Although we will miss the pub life, we will always be grateful for everyone's amazing custom over the years!

We are doing a live auction of the pub. This gives people a fair chance at an exciting opportunity to own a fantastic business.

It is in a prime location at the centre of town. It has 4 bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. A large living room overlooking the main street and a commercial kitchen on the first floor. With a lovely gastro pub on the ground floor that has a large beer garden out the back and storerooms.

The lovely town of Swinford is located off the N5, the main access route from Dublin to most of County Mayo, including the county’s largest towns and lies approx. 18 km from Ireland West Airport Knock.

A New Chapter for Us and an Exciting Opportunity for Someone New………

Over 65 years ago, Pat and Nellie Campbell began the successful launch of Campbell’s Lounge Bar on Main Street, Swinford. They worked hard to support their family of 8 children and established a successful business through the support of the wonderful community in Swinford.

Not only was The Lounge Bar a stable support to their family, but it was also where Liam, their youngest son, met his future wife, Jackie. Travelling from London, Jackie and her sisters spent their summers with their grandparents in Tumgesh, a village just outside of Swinford.

Liam & Jackie fell quickly in love. When the wait for the next summer to arrive became too long for Liam, he decided to leave Swinford to move to London. It was there that they got married and made big plans to travel the world together.
Until the surprise arrival of their first daughter Laura. This meant that their plan to travel the world were put on hold. After a year they decided to move back to Ireland to take over Campbell’s Lounge from Pat and Nellie.

30 years ago, on Friday 10th July 1992, was the official reopening of Campbell’s Lounge under new ownership of Liam & Jackie Campbell. Two weeks later, Liam and Jackie also welcomed their second daughter Katie.

Over the past 30 years, Campbell’s Lounge has provided wonderful memories for both Liam and Jackie. Hosting event nights such as Blind Date, Karaoke, Fancy Dress, Fashion Shows, Live Bands and more.

The business has transformed in many ways over the years from introducing a simple deli counter, to developing into evening dinner service, the addition of an off-license and even an internet café too.

It has been a meeting point for first dates and long goodbyes, gatherings of old friends and new, a place to celebrate new births and to say goodbye to loved ones. During the Covid lockdown they even hosted the wedding reception for their daughter Katie.

To Campbells Lounge bar, the loyal & hard-working team behind it both past and present, the amazing customers that make Campbells what it is and the local community of Swinford……

East Mayo darts final between The Sheepwalk and The Turf Shed is been held in Campbells on Friday night. First Games away at 21:30

Everyone welcome promises to be a great night of darts has been nothing between both teams all year.

Just finishing the final touches before opening tomorrow evening…don’t think our flowers will need any extra watering!😅☔️
The weather may be awful but rest assured the welcome in Campbell’s will be warm and inviting 😊
What better way to spend an evening than to catch up with friends over some home-cooked food!

Thanks to everyone who has reserved a table so far, and to those who have wished us well over the past few weeks. It’s really heartening to see that people are looking forward to moving on, and supporting local businesses. 🙏

We are very excited to announce that Campbell’s Lounge will reopen it’s doors on Monday, 29th June at 5pm! 🥳🤩🙌🍴🍻🎉

Whilst we have missed all our customers and friends during lockdown, we have used this opportunity to give the bar a revamp ✅
We look forward to welcoming you back to a fresh, clean and safe environment!

We are implementing all government guidelines for the safety of our customers and staff and so must operate in a responsible way, with a restricted capacity for the time being. So we are advising customers to book a table to avoid disappointment! 🍔🥪🥗

Sunday: 1pm – 11pm
