Hi all,

We have decided to close for the winter and will re-open in April 2019, this decision is not an easy one but it is one that we feel is right for our customers, staff & business for the future.

We will be closing our doors until April 2019 with a view to bringing something better & brighter to Strandhill.

To our committed customers & our loyal staff, you’ve been brilliant & we want to thank you wholeheartedly for all your support.

So it’s See you Later not Goodbye...

Looking forward to working hard over the winter so we can bring you something new in spring 2019.

Our Story

The Draft House opened its doors in Strandhill on the Wild Atlantic Way in the summer of 2015. With a determined focus on quality food and craft drinks, it has lived up to the confident slogan “We Don’t Do Ordinary”. Chef Lee Mastin has years of experience in Michelin starred kitchens under his belt – and it shows in the seasonally led menu and the exceptional presentation. Eating at The Draft House is a treat.

The decor on both floors is eclectic and appealing as well as comfortable. Regular live acoustic music adds to the welcoming atmosphere and the service is both efficient and relaxed. Original touches include showers for hungry surfers and warm kennels for the dog walker’s best friend.

The Draft House was a worthy winner of the Bord Bia ‘Just Ask’ award and Best Casual Dining Experience at the Gold Medal Awards. Recommendations include Georgina Campbell’s Ireland Guide and the McKenna Guide.
