💚 Danny Dowling Walk to Lug 🤍

Today we will once again come together to walk Lugnaquilla in memory of Danny and in aid of Ballinacor GFC.

Danny walked this walk every year from the age of just 5 years old. What began as a childhood tradition became a special part of his life, and now we will continue the walk in his memory keeping his spirit and his love of the mountains & his club with us every step of the way. 🤍

As the craziness of summer begins to quieten, Glenmalure slips into a slower, cosier rhythm. 🍂

The days get a little shorter, the autumn colours start to appear, and the fire gets lit🔥

It’s the perfect time to escape to the valley, warm up by the fire, enjoy a good meal and take in everything that makes Glenmalure so special in autumn.

We’re still serving food every day from breakfast right through until 9pm, so whether you’re calling in for a morning coffee, a hearty lunch, an evening meal or simply a cosy pint by the fire, there’s always a warm welcome waiting.

We absolutely love that so many people choose The Glenmalure Lodge as part of their visit to this beautiful valley. Whether you’re hiking, exploring, or simply enjoying the outdoors, we’re delighted to see so many people discovering all that Glenmalure has to offer.

Just a little reminder that our car park is reserved for Lodge patrons only. If you’re heading for the hills, we’d really appreciate you using one of the several free public car parks located at the trailheads throughout the valley. If you’re visiting us, we encourage carpooling whenever possible, as parking is limited.

For campervans, we do welcome one-night stays in our designated area along the back fence. Once those spaces are full, unfortunately we can’t accommodate any additional campervans as our car park is simply too small.

Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation. It really helps us ensure there’s space for our customers while allowing everyone to continue enjoying everything Glenmalure has to offer. 💚
