Remembering Michael Collins 🇮🇪

As we mark the anniversary of the death of Michael Collins on 22nd August 1922, we remember one of the most significant figures in Irish history.

Hanging here in An Poitín Stil is this remarkable photograph of Collins at a hurling match in Croke Park in 1921, throwing in the ball — a small snapshot of a moment in Irish sporting and national history.

More than a century later, his story and legacy remain an important part of Ireland’s past.
