Well Guys ..
After 9 fabulous years at the Stag, it's last orders from me.
I had hoped to be pulling pints and enjoying the craic with you all for many years to come but, sadly, it wasn't to be..
It's time for new adventures but I couldn't leave without saying a few words. As most of you know, I'm not a fan of public speaking ( only at last orders 😉)so I hope this message will suffice instead.
Firstly, I want to thank my Husband ..
From the first day we took the keys and to the last few days of close up rarely seen behind the bar but has backed me, supported me, cheered me on, and always by my side..
Thank you to my wonderful staff who worked hard with good humour, good grace and loyalty..None of it was possible without ye I will miss working with yous terribly...
Finally, I want to say a massive thank you to every last one of you who came in for a drink and shared this experience with me, with us.
If a pub is the heart of a village then it's the patrons who are the lifeblood. The young, the old, the regulars or just passing through. No matter. Every one of you who crossed the threshold in the past nine years are a part of that story. We couldn't have done it without you.
Sunday at 6pm, I'll raise a glass to you and me both and absent friends.
It's been an absolute blast ..
