It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this post. Le Wine O'Clock is a project I have been working on for the last year and I have put heart and soul in to it. I opened at the end of the summer, definitely not an ideal time to open but with different administrative delays and red tape I couldn't open any earlier. I am so very proud to have brought a little part of France back to my home town and to have worked with local people to create this beautiful place but I have been struggling since I have opened despite putting all my energy and optimism, not to mention personal economies in to the business to make it work. I was counting on December to be a busy month which would permit me to stay afloat and set the trend for a successful New Year, but apart from 1 or 2 days it was a very quiet month. This is why I have come to the sad decision to close the business as of Monday 8th of January 2017. I would like to thank the few faithful clients who regularly paid me a visit and found a peace haven in my bar, they will know who they are and also everybody who came in and supported us over the past few months. It was a real pleasure to watch you relax with a glass of wine and some nibbles in such a nice atmosphere in the heart of Longford. Unfortunately the number of customers was not enough to keep things afloat. I tried my best but it was just not enough. Please call in to see us over the next few days to say goodbye. All the furnishings and decoration are for sale so feel free to message me directly if anything is of interest to you. There may be one or two vouchers still not cashed in so please contact me and I will arrange for a hamper to be made up to the value of it or try to come in before Monday the 8th and use it for a couple of glasses of wine and something to eat. I wish you all the best for the New Year 2018. I will take the good out of this experience, learn from my mistakes and pick myself back up to go on to new horizonsโ
