To our friends and customers of The Pallas Bar & Bistro,
It’s hard to believe that over a year has passed since the fire, and I wanted to take a moment to speak directly to those of you who supported us so loyally over the years.
While I’m currently busy with Jerry Jacks Pub & Restaurant and Bertie's Bar, both of which have been very well supported (and I’m hugely grateful for that), I honestly do miss the genuine friendships and loyal customers that made The Pallas such a special place. It wasn’t just a business — it was a community, and that’s something I’ll always value.
Unfortunately, despite the time that has passed, I’ve continued to face serious difficulties with the insurance company and, to date, have received no compensation for the loss of what was a thriving business.
I do want to put the record straight on one important point: as far as I am aware, the landlords of the premises have received a settlement, which includes the reinstatement of the premises to which we no longer have access.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out, checked in, and continued to support us in so many ways 🙏 It genuinely means more than you might realise.
As we head into a new year, I’d like to wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year. Please be sure to follow us over on Bertie’s Bar, and Jerry Jack’s where we are still serving up your favourite dishes in both the restaurant and the food trailer; if you’re passing, do call in - I’d love to see you.
