Green's Bar, Kinvara Green's Pub in the seaside village of Kinvara, County Galway, Ireland. Originally a grocery, the shelves and drawers remain in place.

A unique, traditional family owned pub, where there is great Guinness, friendly conversation and many impromptu sessions of traditional music. Instead of holding groceries, the shelves now positively sag under the weight of "Green's Bottles", a vast collection of whiskeys, brandies and unusual liquors. You would be hard pressed to name an alcoholic beverage that cannot be found on the shelves. The

pub's two busiest periods are during Kinvara's Fleadh na gCuach (Cuckoo Festival) in May and the Cruinniu na mBad (Gathering of the Boats) in August, when the town celebrates its maritime heritage with one of Ireland's biggest gatherings of Galway Hookers and traditional sailing craft. However, throughout the year you will find traditional music taking place in the pub.

The Rustic Oven is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team.

📍 Location: Kinvara
⏰ Hours: Approximately 20–25 hours per week
📅 Shifts: Evening work, Thursday to Monday
👤 Ideal Candidate: Mature, dependable and able to work well as part of a busy team.

Previous experience is an advantage but not essential. A positive attitude, good work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed are what matter most.

It is our pleasure to introduce the first of our guest speakers for our upcoming Men's Health Awareness event on Monday 15th June.

Seamus Cotter is a prominent Irish patient advocate & lung cancer survivor. Diagnosed with Stage IV non-small cell lung cancer in 2016 at the age of 46, he was initially given a prognosis of just 18 months. After opting to participate in a pioneering immunotherapy clinical trial he achieved a clear scan within eight months & has remained cancer-free ever since.

Turning his personal health battle into a platform for others, Seamus co-founded & currently serves as the Chairperson of the Irish Lung Cancer Community - ILCC (ILCC). He is a dedicated proponent of Public & Patient Involvement (PPI) in research, ensuring the patient voice is central to clinical studies & healthcare policy. His advocacy work has been widely recognised, including receiving the Public & Patient Partnership Award from the Irish Cancer Society in 2026 for his instrumental role in the Lung Health Check pilot program.

A father of three from the west of Ireland, he continues to work in the aviation sector while tirelessly campaigning for a national lung cancer screening programme in Ireland.

"This is one to put on your bucket list. Just spent probably one of the most memorable and connected trips hidden away in the Burren Nature Sanctuary.

The land, the exclusivity, the cabins and the privacy is unmatched. Stepping into what I can only describe as time warp within the cabin and its surrounds, a 2 day stay has enough offerings to recharge, re connect and diminish all that stress.

The facilities, style, comfort and little tokens make you feel welcome and desired. Also, if you are one for attention to detail, you’ll just be endlessly nodding approvals.

Would 100% recommend to anyone for any reason to stay. From opening the cabin and latching the gate behind us, expectations were far surpased and exceeded. We will be back in time.”
