Sadly our time in Killenard is coming to an end we will be finishing up on Sunday 22nd Dec. Judge Roy Beans opened our doors here in April 2014 with a lease on the building which is now almost up and despite every effort and a very tough few months I was unable to secure a renewal.
From all team I would like to thank you our customers for your support from the day we opened.
From myself, my wife Breda and our family a special thank you to the current JRBās team whom have put a brave face on when coming to work for the last few months knowing our time here is closing in. And we are very aware that the timing couldnāt be worse for the staff coming into Christmas.
Thank you all sincerely for your commitment, loyalty and hard work.
It has been an honour to work with past and present members of the team. I have seen part-time young men and women working hard to earn a wage to buy their first car or put themselves through college. Some shy individuals putting themselves front and center and developing social skills dealing with the public, transforming them into confident personalities that their families should be proud of.
Full time staff starting off in junior positions working their way up the ladder to senior kitchen and management roles.
Weāve had our ups and downs, arguments and even tears but we have always worked as a team looking out for other.
For me the most outstanding part of our business was the feedback from you our customers on the genuine customer care from the front of house crew, how they would make you feel welcome in a friendly and well-mannered approach.
Also the engine room of the operation, the kitchen that the customer doesnāt see. The team focused on giving you the best food possible, with table orders coming at them at a frantic pace. You would have to see the operation to believe the work that goes into it.
We didnāt always get things right but I can assure you we always had the customersā needs as our top priority.
From an empty clubhouse we brought a level of trade to the Heritage Resort that it had never witnessed. When we secured the venue we were in, up and running within four days. Promoted to manager Colm led the way alongside Shane, Ian, Katie, Dan, Daryl, Sean,Katie-Ann,Shannon, Darren, Jay & Jenny. Followed by too many to mention.
The casual friendly approach championed by our team ensured our doors stayed open when others unfortunately closed around us.
We couldnāt have done it without you our loyal customers. Thank you for the support, the memories and the friendships created. You might be in with us before we close, like I said we still have till next Sunday 22nd. Pop in over this or next weekend and say hello.
It goes without saying all outstanding vouchers will be honoured in our Newbridge venue.
