Last night, we were crowned the overall winner at the 2026 awards, winning Ireland’s Bar of the Year as well as winning Ireland’s Best Cocktail Bar and Ireland’s Best Designed Bar 🏆

What started as a vision in 2023 to create a great underground bar in Killarney has been the most incredible and rewarding journey we could have ever imagined.

To be surrounded last night by the very best in the industry, alongside so many friends and peers, and to take home the top award, as well as Best Cocktail Bar and Best Designed Bar, is an absolute dream. We are completely blown away!

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us on this unbelievable journey - our customers, guests, visitors, suppliers, our amazing communities, the team and everyone who has played a part along the way. The list goes on.

But above all, a very special shoutout to the Pig’s Lane crew.
You guys are one in a MILLION!!! ❤️🥳

The Smithy…

The blacksmith was once one of the most skilled and respected craftspeople in towns across Ireland. From dawn until dusk, the forge was the beating heart of the community.

They shod horses for local farmers and jaunting cars that carried visitors through Killarney. They repaired ploughs and farm machinery, fitted iron tyres to wooden cart wheels, crafted gates, hinges, hooks and tools, and could mend almost anything made of iron.

Inspired by the hardworking blacksmiths who once worked on College Street, one of our favourite cocktails here at Pig's Lane is The Smithy.

Made with Bacardi Carta Blanca rum, elderflower liqueur, lemon sherbet, pineapple soda water and cold brew passionfruit tea, it's sweet, tropical and bursting with refreshing citrus.
